I lead and coordinate research in the AAGI (Analytics for the Australian Grains Industry) program, a GRDC-funded partnership between The University of Queensland, Curtin University, and Adelaide University.
- Developing and validating synthetic agricultural datasets using crop simulation.
- Augmenting field-trial data to improve predictive modelling, yield estimation, and decision support.
- Integrating statistical, environmental, and agronomic data streams to strengthen management recommendations across Australian grains systems.
I worked within the INVITA team (Innovations in Plant Variety Testing in Australia) to advance digital methods for variety testing and crop-environment analysis.
- Expanded the use of remote sensing and data analytics in national variety trials.
- Analysed drivers of crop growth and physiology using yield, weather, soil, and satellite datasets.
- Built data management and quality-control pipelines for automated processing and analysis.
I conducted research and extension in crop physiology, nutrient management, and sustainable intensification, with a strong emphasis on data analytics and cross-environment synthesis.
- Led and conducted more than 10 field research sites in cereals across North and South America.
- Integrated meta-analysis, geospatial analysis, and crop physiology to support management recommendations.
- Published scientific articles and delivered international conference and extension presentations.
Member of the agricultural analytics unit supporting field-crop monitoring through UAV and satellite data.
- Developed nutrient recommendation tools embedded in a digital platform for farmers.

- Determinining the critical window of fungicide applications for leaf blight (Exserohilum turcicum) protection in corn for the region.
- Planning and conducting the first quantification of corn silage quality and mycotoxins for the region.
